Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus

Good evening lovely book readers,

I hope you're doing well!

In one of the last blog posts I talked about my eviction notice from the house I'm currently residing. However, it had a good turn as I found an apartment, and I'm moving out on Friday. I am so excited, however half of my packed stuff are books, of course how could I not take care of my books.

Any whom, welcome to a new blog post and review as we continue February Mystery Month.

Today, I'll be reviewing Two Can Keep a Secret of the author of One of Us is Lying. I said it: Karen M. McManus.

Echo Ridge is small-town America. Ellery's never been there, but she's heard all about it. Her aunt went missing there at age seventeen. And only five years ago, a homecoming queen put the town on the map when she was killed. Now Ellery has to move there to live with a grandmother she barely knows.

The town is picture-perfect, but it's hiding secrets. And before school even begins for Ellery, someone's declared open season on homecoming, promising to make it as dangerous as it was five years ago. Then, almost as if to prove it, another girl goes missing.

Ellery knows all about secrets. Her mother has them; her grandmother does too. And the longer she's in Echo Ridge, the clearer it becomes that everyone there is hiding something. The thing is, secrets are dangerous--and most people aren't good at keeping them. Which is why in Echo Ridge, it's safest to keep your secrets to yourself.

This is a 4-star review.

The book and writing style are making this an easy read. So easy, that I was able to start and finish the book in one day.

To be honest, so far it is one of my favourite books from this author. She managed to twist the murder mystery in such a really good way. Even the plot twist got my choking on my water as it was good.

Of course, I will not give it a 5 stars as it is not as good as As Good As Dead but it was fairly amazing.

I loved the dual POV (point of view) of one of the victims relatives and the POV of one of the "suspects" relatives while they are trying to avoid another disappearance and yet are trying to discover and dismantle the mysteries from 20 years and 5 years ago.

Such a good book and definitely a recommendation to all the readers who love a good murder mystery.

I hope you enjoyed this book review.

Love, Manon
